Introduction

When i first met Reain, he was very vocal and spontaneous. He was able to describe pictures with great ease and creativity. However he was unable to sound out many basic words such as "Be", "He" and "A". He is also unclear of how to read and pronounce most of the alphabets. It was then concluded that Reain did not have a good phonics base. He was also very fidgety and was distracted very easily. This made the first few sessions for me very frustrating and also very un-beneficial for Reain. Fortunately he grew accustomed to me after a few sessions and he has been steadily improving. He is now able to pronounce most alphabets and simple words like "the" with ease. He is able to read most words from books that are chosen from the baby section now and he enjoys the story better as he is able to understand most of it when I read it out to him. His attention span has also improved and he is now able to sit through 4 - 5 simple stories without being distracted by others. Overall I am proud of him.
